Konstantin Krivoruchko was born in the Soviet Union where he
studied physics, mathematics, and statistics. He received his PhD
degree in Physics and Mathematics from Soviet Academy of
Sciences, Moscow, in 1989.
He has extensive experience in epidemiology; particularly the
dynamics of cancer in the population of the country of Belarus and
its relationship with the deposition of radionuclides after the
Chernobyl.
In the last 20 years he has concentrated on developing commercial
geostatistical software and teaching GIS users spatial statistics. He
has been active in the GIS and applied spatial statistics
communities since 1996.
He enjoys growing citrus and avocados in California.
